Ghost Towns, Mines, and More!
A small town in western Nevada, near the ghost town of Rhyolite. Beatty was not so much a mining town, as it was supply town serving the various mines and mining communities around it. It also had fuel and maintenance facilities for the Las Vegas & Tonopah Railroad. Today it serves travelers on the long road between Las Vegas and Tonopah, as well as Death Valley.
I haven’t spent much time here, usually just stopping for fuel and ice. There’s not a lot to see, at least from the main road.
