Ghost Towns and Mines

Blair was the home of a huge mill. Ore from various mines was hauled here by train, and processed at the mill. All that remains today are foundations of the mill and town buildings, and the crumbling ruins of a few buildings that were made of low-grade concrete.

My first visit to Blair was in 1987. The last time I stopped there was in 2002, when I shot some aerial photos of the site. Currently I have only a few low resolution scans from that trip on my computer. Eventually I plan to dig out the originals and get better quality scans.

Updated June 2016.
