Ghost Towns and Mines
Ghost Towns and Mines
This small valley in the Panamint Mountains, is part of Death Valley National Park. It takes its name from a striped butte which is something of a geological curiosity. There is a well-built stone cabin on the west side of the valley known as the “Geologist’s Cabin”. There are a few small mining camps in the region as well.
