This fuel and water facility is another remnant of the steam era. It’s located southeast of Ocotillo, CA and just west of a former wye that was used to turn helper locomotives.

In the late 70’s this place was still pretty much intact. Since then, the building which housed the water pump has been completely destroyed by wind and vandals.
