The combined Eagle and High Peak mines of Julian, CA date back to the 1870s. The Eagle Mining Company offers guided tours of the preserved mine and equipment. Inside the mine there is a vintage hoist powered by a 10hp engine; mining tools; a pneumatic drill; a small turntable for the ore cars; various types of timbering; and multiple levels.

Outside the mine are various ore cars and other mining hardware; an original five-stamp mill and a small single-stamp mill; and the remains of several antique vehicles.

The tour is reasonably priced and a must-see for anyone visiting the Julian area!
