Ghost Towns and Mines

Also known as the Ohio Mine, the Great Western Mine and Mill is tucked away on a hillside south of Gold Point. Although it is very close by it is not directly visible from the town. The Great Western Mine Company began operations in 1905. The mine produced rich silver ore and small quantities of gold.
