Ghost Towns, Mines, and More!
The town of Hamilton began in 1868, and had 12,000 people by 1869. It was also the center of the Hamilton Mining District of central Nevada. Hamilton was already in decline by 1870. A major fire destroyed most of the business district in 1873.
