The In-ko-pah Railroad

Just past the east end of the town of Dos Manos, there is a wiring junction set into the ground between two tracks. I decided to create a building to hide this junction. It will be a small, single-cell, concrete jailhouse.

The “back story” for this structure is that it was the town’s first jail. It was later abandoned, then acquired by the railroad and is currently used by the railroad for storage.

The basic structure was made of 6mm thick Sintra PVC foam board. I’ll be experimenting with a process for applying a simulated, cast-concrete texture to the exterior of the structure.
