February 17, 2010 -- I’ve been turning this pile of dirt into a nice little viewing area. The first three rows of blocks were put in a couple years ago. Recently I built the steps and added the plank retaining wall. In the past few days I added more blocks, which can also be used as seating. I added a few rocks, mainly to get them out of the middle of the yard...</title>

September 25, 2010 -- Time to do something about housing my electronics! Until now I’ve just stuck the track power/controller inside a plastic container. A few months ago i got a new power supply for the low-voltage building lights. I temporarily set it on top of an upturned tub and covered it with another container.</title>

This plastic is darn near indestructible and made for outdoor use. It’s secured to the wood with paintable silicone sealant and stainless steel screws.</title>

January 10, 2012 -- This is a quick test I did to see if I could use PVC foam board to make brick structures. I used a scribe to create the mortar lines, then painted it with acrylics. I think it turned out very well, considering how quickly I knocked it out. Later I plan to make an entire building using this technique.</title>
