This belt-driven “Imperial Type 10” compressor was photographed at the Croesus Mine, NV. It appears to be fairly intact. This compressor was installed sometime around 1916 or 1917.

The Croesus Mine used compressed air to power a dual-drum hoist, as well as the pneumatic drills. In addition to the Ingersoll-Rand compressor, the mine also had two large Chicago compressors, which are no longer at the mine.
