The first example I ever saw of this steam powered well driller was a dilapidated rig abandoned at the Everett Mines compound. Its boiler and steam engine are missing but all other major parts appear to be in place. Below are photos of that rig from 1999 and 2009, plus photos of an intact rig on display in Ely, NV.
I have several more photos available showing some additional details and angles. I also took measurements of a few key components on the abandoned rig.
