Ghost Towns and Mines
Pronounced “leed”, this small gold mine in Stone Canyon was also known as the Hughes mine. It’s located on the north side of Lookout Mountain, along the trail to Lookout City. The only structure is this interesting ore bin and short trestle. The ore bin is built on top of a natural stone outcrop.
