Ghost Towns and Mines

Little Fish Lake Valley is part of a very remote and sparcely-populated region in central Nevada. At the south end of the valley is Lower Fish Lake, or what’s left of it. As I drove through in 2012, there was just a marshy meadow, with perhaps a small patch of bare, dry lakebed in the middle.

Along the eastern shore is the ruins of an old homestead or ranch. The dirt road runs through the middle of it. On one side of the road is a log cabin with a small stone addition (or is it a small stone cabin with a larger addition made of logs?) An old corral stands nearby. Crumbling stone walls on the other side of the road are all that remain of another building.

So far I have been unable to find any information about the history of this site.
