Ghost Towns and Mines
Ghost Towns and Mines
Pigeon Spring is located at the mouth of a canyon in the Sylvania Mountains, west of Palmetto, NV. The ruins of an old stamp mill are visible from the nearby highway. The stamp mill was active from 1890 to 1907.
Upon entering the canyon, one soon finds the remains of another, more recent mill. One of the interesting artifacts here is the rear half of an early model water tank truck, used to hold water for the mill.
To see more photos of this early vintage water truck tank visit my Water Truck Tank page.
