The town of Taylor, NV began in 1883. By 1893 the mines were no longer profitable, and the town soon died. Currently the town site has been obliterated by a modern open-pit mine and its waste piles. All that remains of earlier work is this solitary headframe, the hoist house, and a shack. These have changed very little since my first visit in 1997.
