Ghost Towns and Mines

An old corral and cabin in the upper Tule Canyon area, southwest of Gold Point, NV. This surprisingly photogenic corral is mostly made of old, spiral-wound, riveted pipe. Even the cattle loading chute is made from these riveted pipes. Most likely, this pipe once carried water from a distant spring to a ranch or mine, and was put to new use as fencing when it became too rusted to hold water.

Other sites to visit in this area include: Roosevelt Well and Lower Tule Canyon.

Modelers and artists may find these images useful as reference for aged, weathered wood; dilapidated shack; rusty metal; Old West; rivets, etc.
