Ghost Towns and Mines
Ghost Towns and Mines
The first settlement here was a stagecoach stop in 1866. With its abundance of water, Warm Springs remained an important waypoint for travelers, but it never grew beyond a tiny settlement. In later years a bar, cafe and small swimming pool were built, but these have been abandoned for many years. Ruins of much older structures are scattered about.
NEW: In 2010 I visited a small mine near Warm Springs. I don’t know the
name of this mine, so I’m calling it the Warm Springs Mine. Click the photo or
link to see pics of this mine.
July 2016: Added some scanned slides from 1987 and 1988.
Warm Springs, NV
