Denio, NV
Denio is a tiny community in northern Nevada, right on the state line with Oregon. It was named after Aaron Denio, who settled the area in 1885. The Denio post office was originally in Oregon, but was moved to the Nevada side in 1950. Denio isn't a ghost town but it has some interesting old buildings, as well as this great old wooden boxcar.
Three miles of south of Denio is Denio Junction, where there is a gas station, restaurant, and motel.
I visited this site in June 2024.
