Fillmore Mine, NV
The Fillmore Mine is a small tungsten mine in the Cherry Creek Range that only produced a minor amount of ore. The tungsten ore was in the form of scheelite. The site is heavily overgrown with brush and trees, and there are no standing structures. The main features are a collapsed ore bin, and a section of mine track attached to some sheet metal that I'm guessing was used in the process of emptying the ore carts.
Other mines of interest in this area include the Bluebell Mine, the Calcite Mine, the Old Timer Mine, and the Teacup Mine.
I visited the Fillmore Mine in July 2024.
