Rachel Mill, NV

This small mill near Rachel, NV was built by a local miner named Wesley Koyen, to process ore from one of the tungsten mines on Tempiute Mountain. One account says it was built in the 1940s, and another says it was built in the 1960s. A fire in the 1980s damaged the mill, which was never rebuilt. The rusting equipment and the steel skeleton of the mill building remain. Nearby is an unusual wooden bunker.

I visited the Rachel Mill in July 2024.
