The Silver Cloud Mine was a small mercury mine in northern Nevada. It was discovered in 1931, and went into production soon after. No further information is available but it looks like the mine probably only lasted a few years at best.

The ore is a bit unusual. Most cinnabar deposits consist of very red rock. Here the ore is in a layer of opalized, rhyolitic obsidian, which is mostly white and pink.
